Webinar: A Conversation with Change.org and Michael Whitney, Digital Fundraising Manager for the Bernie Sanders Presidential Campaign

Bernie Sanders' bid for the Democratic Presidential nomination has seen one of the most astounding campaigns in recent memory, with unprecedented mobilization and online fundraising success. In an era of SuperPACs, the Sanders campaign has managed to gain over 7 million *individual* donations with an average donation of $27.

Hear from Michael Whitney - Bernie's digital fundraising manager - about what it took to pull off the impossible, and what we can learn from the campaign's success here in Australia.

Michael works for Revolution Messaging - the agency behind the Bernie Sanders' digital campaign. Michael comes to Revolution Messaging from Change.org, where he led the team responsible for email campaigning in the United States.  Michael previously worked with progressive political blog Firedoglake, leading campaigning around whistleblower advocacy, workers’ rights and safety, and marijuana legalisation. He came up through the labor movement at SEIU and the workers’ rights nonprofit American Rights at Work. Michael got his start in online organising as the co-founder of Generation Dean, Howard Dean’s 2004 presidential campaign’s young voter organising effort.
